Bad news for Simon Cowell: The X Factor has been AXED... in Australia

Simon Cowell's X Factor empire suffered a major blow today - as the Australian version of the show has been CANCELLED.

Like the UK original, The X Factor Australia has been suffering considerable ratings drops in recent years.

Bosses did their best to reverse the decline, rebranding it as 'X Factor: Next Generation' with three new all-star judges - Iggy Azalea, Adam Lambert and Guy Sebastian.

The latest series also saw fourth judge Mel B form an 'Underdog' category, consisting of rejects from the three-chair challenge.

However, ratings came in well below the 'magic million' mark - and now broadcaster Seven has decided to swing the axe.

Seven's Angus Ross told Aussie telly blog TVTonight: "X Factor is not coming back.

sinitta at x factor fix scandal for new series rigging goes against a fair and balanced competition for other auditionees

sinitta at x factor fix  scandal for new  series, has been said before that there is some "management" or fixing with the x  factor, well some more accusations of  fixing involving sinitta and because her  group that she manages has  sailed through to the judges houses part of the  competition.

that her influence of simon cowell has helped, this kind of thing favoritism probably goes on a lot, though for people who are  grass roots auditionees it is probably not  such a great thing too see, and that the x factor competition is meant to be fair and balanced is brought into question with the way things like this happen.

just seems kind of unfair  for people who audition and should go through based on there  talent yet people who  have influence stack the odds against them by giving there friends leg ups at other peoples expense not fair really, not fair at all for other people  who are trying to make it through the competition on hard work, when there  are people in a group like a conspiracy rigging the x factor singing competition for themselves and there firends.

itv says the x factor will continue into 2017 and beyond

itv says the x factor will continue into 2017  and beyond, was doubts or there are doubts floating around about the future of the x factor uk, but as far as itv is concerned the future of the x factor is not in any doubt and so expect x factor to continue  for a few years more, sure there will be more rumours  after the current season ends this  year  though  and depending on how popular the x factor is this year as well will tell.

x factor will not be rested in 2017

according  to simon cowell earlier this  year he has  said  that the x factor  will not be  rested in 2017, this is good news that there  is  no talk of the x factor uk being cancelled at least, we now  have  the  auditions running for  this  years  x factor, and  all looks  to be  going good  with a return of the original judging  panel of simon cowell, louis walsh and  sharon osbourne, though there  really is not much news either way regarding x factor continueing  into  2017, so there is  no definite news either way, as with these  shows  futures  anything can happen it seems.

but at least cowell is coming out saying that the shows will be continuing though he did say that about the x factor usa  also and  we  all know what happened there, though the x factor uk is a different kettle of fish compared to the american x factor.
